Some News For You
I’m excited to share that a year-long project has just come to completion! I had the privilege of producing Give Us a Dream, a missions album featuring music by various gospel seed sowers (including myself). It’s been a joy to bring these talented, dedicated musicians together and see it all come to life. The album is now available everywhere you stream music!
I also recently wrote an essay for A Life Overseas titled: How God Exchanged My YouTube Addiction for a Special Gift. I hope you find it encouraging.
To simplify and streamline this newsletter, I’ll be hosting it on my own website from now on.
Already subscribed? No need to do a thing. ❤️ You’ll still get occasional notes from me in your inbox and can find my essays on www.abigailfollows.com.
Not subscribed yet? Feel free to sign up, and I’ll add your name when I make the switch tomorrow.
On Monday I’ll send all my subscribers The Barefoot Mile: Walking with Jesus in Weakness and Wonder. You’ll recognize some of the essays from this Substack, and some new work, too. Be sure to look for it!
Some Thoughts on Knowing God’s Will
We spend a lot of time talking and thinking about the will of God. Especially in times when “the right thing to do” seems hidden in a thick fog. We pray fervently to know the will of God, to be empowered to do the will of God.
I know I was praying that way this past week, when I was feeling foggy and uncertain. Then today I ran across a simple promise:
“This is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:40
Although God certainly has plans and opinions about the details of my Martha-like rushing about, His ultimate will for me is to be resurrected at the second coming and have eternal life. And the way I “do” His will is to see Jesus and believe in Him.
I want to crawl inside that thought and take a nap. Or to savor it like a good meal I don’t want to end.
God is good.
And that is good news.
Love and blessings,
Abby
