Limited on time? Here’s the nutshell version: I’m starting a podcast, the secret library is back, and two new songs are available there! If you’re already a subscriber, the secret library password is in the footer of this email. If not, you can sign up here:

Thank You…
It’s been just over a year since Whatsoever Thoughts began.
I was searching for a unique way to keep in touch with readers of Hidden Song of the Himalayas, a creative outlet where I could share Philippians 4:8-worthy contemplations. And I hoped to find a few like-minded people seeking to follow Jesus.
I know... “Follow Jesus” sounds like something that should be cross-stitched on a throw pillow.
But it takes real courage. It takes introspection and forgetting yourself at the same time. It takes death. Dying to ourselves, to our desires. It means taking every thought captive, turning every hard situation into a chance to grow in faith. It means making room for God to do something.
And God needs a lot of room, because He’s into doing big things. Like parting seas. Or walking on them.
When I began this newsletter, I wanted to create something that someone would read or listen to and feel empowered to make that space for God to do something in and with their life.
In the past year, Whatsoever Thoughts has grown from one reader (hi, Mom!) to almost 200 readers. Which surprises and humbles me.
I’m grateful to you for trusting me with the space in your inbox. Really, I’m honored. I know your life is busy and your time is limited. Sharing a little of your time with me means so much.
What’s Next?
In December, I took a break from WT to connect with friends and family and contemplate the future. What do I have time for? How can I make space for God to do great things?
In the meantime, my family, seeing how much I’ve enjoyed putting together audio content and getting back into making music after so long, built me a little recording booth for a birthday/Christmas gift! Complete with a pink heart blanket for the top! :) No more jets, kids, or ringing sounds in the background.
So, what’s next?
I’ve decided to:
Continue to aim for one newsletter most weeks, and send it on Wednesday (or Thursday, because sometimes I’m surprised it’s Wednesday...)
Switch things up by turning this into a newsletter-podcast hybrid! (Cue the fanfare.)
Continue to bring you creative faith interactions—reflections and stories told in a unique way that will (hopefully!) inspire you.
Stick with one major idea for this whole year, and to create content around quarterly themes. This year’s idea is Finding Jesus. And for the first season of Whatsoever Thoughts, January through March, the theme will be Finding Jesus in the New Testament.
Reopen the secret library!
The Secret Library is (Finally) Back
I used to have a tiny, three-item secret library available for readers of Hidden Song. Finally, after some quality time with tech support and banging my head on my laptop repeatedly, it is open again! It looks cool, and this time there are lots of things there.
I’m most excited about two songs that I wrote and recorded in December as Christmas gifts to friends. The first is a tribute to a friend whose mother died around the same time as Queen Elizabeth:
And the second is for another dear friend who is facing a major life transition:
I’m so excited to share these with you! I pray you will be blessed by them. Remember, if you are a subscriber, you’ll find the secret library password in the footer of this (and all subsequent) emails.
If you haven’t subscribed yet, consider this an invitation. I’d love you to join! Subscribe below, and I’ll send you the password to the library right away. Plus you’ll get a Whatsoever Thought in your inbox most weeks.
And in case you’re wondering who I am…
Hi, I’m Abigail. Nice to meet you!
Here’s a funny article about makeup, one about enemies, and another about how awkward it is to be a missionary.
As I mentioned, every once in a while I’m surprised it’s Wednesday.
Here’s the podcast experiment I did several months ago, and a spoken word poem I wrote and performed about the idolatry of perfectionism.
Here’s an introduction to Whatsoever Thoughts.
Hi there, my internet program won't let me enter the secret library. It says that it is not a safe website. Did anyone else get the same notification?
